Fundraising

VOCAL exists entirely through voluntary donations and fundraising events. We receive no funding from the Greek authorities.
Twice a year we hold a bazaar at which we sell donated second hand goods. We are always looking for good quality, clean second hand clothing, bric a brac and miscellaneous items. To run our bazaar we need volunteers to man the stalls selling items and also to set up and clear up on the day. We often combine our bazaar with a craft fair too, with local artists and artisans selling their wares.
We also hold one off events such as barbecues to raise funds.
Our lending library, located on our own premises, has over 2,000 books available to borrow in return for a donation to our funds and once a week we also hold a coffee morning with home made cakes, also for a donation.
